More than a personal diary, this site aims to detail the surrounding areas and (possible) routes leading to Marian shrines both renowned and obscure. The adjective possible is added given that many of these places, mostly concentrated on continental Europe, may be efficiently approached from several different starting points. The generous sprinkling of touristic, culinary, and picturesque delights around the vicinity and/or along the path to these shrines enlarge the merits of the destination. The hope for this project is that readers may share their knowledge, be it an uncovered local specialty or a vantage point worthy of megabyte consuming pictures, as they journey to a place that centers on the woman who continues to enrich humanity’s spiritual, moral, and cultural patrimony.
